Rajma recipe
Cooking Time: 1 Hour
Servings: 2
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Category: Veg
Method:Cook Kidney beans with 3 cups of water in a pressure cooker till 10 whistle.Heat oil in a pan. put bay leave in it.Add chopped onions and sauté on low heat till golden in color.
Add green masala and stir well. Add turmeric, cumin powder, salt and mix well. Add chopped tomatoes.
Cook, stirring continuously on medium flame, till oil leaves the pan. Add the pressure cooked beans to it. Fry properly.
Add boiling water as required.
Cover and cook for 10min on low flame. Garnish with coriander. Serve hot.

1 cup Rajma/Red Kidney Beans (Kashmiri variety)(soaked 12/24 hours)
1 large onion
2 large tomatoes
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp roasted cumin powder
1 bay leave
Chopped coriander leaves
Oil
salt to taste
For green masala:Grind the following to make fine paste:

Note: you can even add soda for pressure cook it faster. Health-wise I don't prefer this.
